Tips and Tricks[]

Role & Strategy[]

  • Vintage Virtuoso is an offensive fighter with a Signature Ability that grants offensive BUFFS in the form of PRECISION and ENRAGE during combos while inflicting GUARD BREAK, allowing him to play very aggressively while reducing the chance of retaliation.
    • PRECISION is a powerful BUFF that disregards an opponent's Signature Abilities as one of its effects. When timed correctly, this allows him to defeat opponents such as Kill Joy, Immoral Fiber, Shadow Puppet, and Robocopy without activating their on-death/fatal hit abilities.
  • Big Band has a wide array of special moves and blockbusters that are multi-hit, such as BEAT EXTEND and TYMPANI DRIVE, allowing Vintage Virtuoso to reach 10 combo hits very easily. However, the timing to land a PRECISION hit when it matters can be difficult to achieve because of this. Players will have to practice and have a mastery of Big Band's special moves and blockbusters to be able to make the PRECISION hit count. PRECISION hits occur every 10N + 1 hits.
    • One of Big Band's Tier 3 Unblockable blockbusters, TUBA TUBA, deals exactly 21 hits, with the last doing the most damage. When used by Vintage Virtuoso, this guarantees that the last hit will be a PRECISION hit.
  • Marquee Ability: As an offensive variant, Vintage Virtuoso will benefit from SOLOIST as his Marquee Ability. This compliments with Big Band's Prestige Ability that provides UNBLOCKABLE dash attacks while also supplementing HEAVY REGEN as a form of recovery.

Stat Investment[]

  • General Investment: As an offensive Big Band, Vintage Virtuoso is best built with Attack, Piercing and Special Cooldown.
  • Special investment: Crit Damage is recommended for Vintage Virtuoso to further increase his damage output. Accuracy will also ensure that defenders do no resist GUARD BREAK.

Trivia[]

  • This variant's color palette is a reference to the first Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) that was released in Japan, commonly known as Famicom (Family Computer).
