Shadow Ops is a fighter with a Signature Ability revolves around inflicting CURSE and gaining THORNS while near a TEAR. The ability to inflict a timeless CURSE when opponents are near a TEAR makes Shadow Ops an excellent fighter to use against defenders that rely on BUFFS such as Armed Forces and Meow & Furever. Meanwhile, THORNS provides a defensive option for her, but given the unpredictability of the AI in spawning TEARS, Shadow Ops is best to be used in the offense with THORNS acting as a safety net.
To maximize the use of her ability, try to push the opponent into the corner as much as possible via grabs, combos and launchers. Once in the corner, all TEARS that are spawned in a juggle will be placed within a close distance, allowing you to continually attack the opponent without fear of any defensive BUFFS while granting you THORNS as a safety net to inflict more damage to the opponent.
Equip moves that can spawn TEARS easily, such as NAPALM SHOWER and NAPALM SHOT. Furthermore, CANOPY BOUNCE can also be equipped to remove any current BUFFS the opponent currently has before inflicting them with CURSE to prevent subsequent BUFFS.
Marquee Ability: CRITICAL MASS is the recommended Marquee Ability for Shadow Ops, as you can easily get 100% Crit Rate through moves, while Crit Damage is harder to reach 200%.
Stat Investment[]
General Investment: As an offensive Parasoul, Shadow Ops is best built with Attack,Piercing,Crit Damage and Special Cooldown. Do keep in mind that due to Parasoul's Marquee Ability CRITICAL MASS, Parasoul variants only need to build 100% Crit Damage.
Special investment:Accuracy will ensure that she can inflict CURSE reliably.
