Role & Strategy[]

  • Scared Stiff is a defensive fighter with a Signature Ability that allows her to limit the maximum amount of damage suffered per hit, while gaining a timeless UNFLINCHING if fighting against the same opponent for long enough, making combos difficult for the duration. This makes Scared Stiff a decent tank against low hit-count fighters.
  • Scared Stiff works best against characters with high damage and low number of hitcounts such as Cerebella and Beowulf. However, given Scared Stiff's bronze base stats, Scared Stiff falls very short in higher tiers and can easily be defeated by performing a 20-hit combo.
  • While timeless UNFLINCHING is a bit annoying to deal with, it's removed as soon as she's not fighting the same fighter anymore, meaning it's not that scary in practice. It can also be removed through moves like Eliza's CHAOS BANISH or bypassed with DEADEYE, limiting it's use even further on defense, not to mention the requirement of fighting the same fighter for at least 15 seconds making it slow to start up in the first place.
  • Marquee Ability: DEAD ALIVE is the better Marquee Ability to be used defensively, providing other teammates FINAL STAND to increase the longevity of your defensive fighters and stall for time.
  • Stat Investment: As with any other defensive variants, investment in HP and Defense are important to increase her survivability in the fight, while investment in Meter Gain can be helpful to quickly charge unblockable Tier 3 blockbusters.

  • This variant's color palette is based off Squigly's attire when she was still alive, with its caption being a reference to a game played by children in slumber parties.
  • The name of this variant's Signature Ability is one of the recognizable signs of death, characterized by stiffening of the limbs of the corpse caused by chemical changes in the muscles postmortem.
