Inflict WITHER and grant HASTE for 6/7/8 seconds each when the opponent is KNOCKED DOWN.
Signature Ability 2
5/10/15% chance on HIT to grant ENRAGE for 10 seconds and to DRAIN 1/2/3% HEALTH from the opponent while benefiting from HASTE.

Role & Strategy[]

  • Scare Giver is an offensive fighter with the ability to control the opponent's meter while increasing her own. Furthermore, she also gains the ability to increase her damage output through ENRAGE stacks and directly DRAIN the opponent's health, providing a form of recovery for every hit landed on the opponent that is unique for Cerebella.
  • Cerebella does not have easy access to health regeneration, allowing Scare Giver to stand out with her DRAIN ability. On top of ENRAGE, Scare Giver can take down opponents easily while keeping her health generally high.
    • Due to the relatively low chances of her second Signature Ability activating, Scare Giver benefits significantly from multi-hit moves, which is in direct contrast to her status as a low hit-count character. Moves such as CERECOPTER, PUMMEL HORSE, EXCELLEBELLA and GRAB BAG will synergize really well with her Signature Ability.
    • A common combo to use is highly likely to trigger both Signature Abilities is MERRY GO-RILLA > D2 > PUMMEL HORSE > G5 or MERRY GO-RILLA > D2 > (in the corner) CERECOPTER.
  • Scare Giver can be paired with support variants that grant HASTE such as Rough Copy, Martial Outlaw or Sketchy to overcome the necessity of knockdowns. But given how easy it is to achieve knockdowns with Cerebella, this may not be necessary.
    • With frequent access to HASTE, Martial Outlaw is a great support variant that will provide additional utility to Scare Giver by access to ARMOR BREAK and HEAVY BLEED from her attacks, further bolstering her offensive output.
  • Marquee Ability: Either Marquee Abilities will work with Scare Giver. UPPER HAND may be redundant as Scare Giver already has means to control the opponent's meter through WITHER. Meanwhile, RING LEADER can trap opponents and prevent them from escaping via TAG OUTS while also disabling their special moves, which may provide additional utility for Scare Giver.

Stat Investment[]

  • General Investment: As an offensive Cerebella, Scare Giver is best built with Attack, Piercing and Special Cooldown.
  • Special investment: Accuracy is the most important stat for Scare Giver, as it increases the chances of her second Signature Ability activating. Due to her access to HASTE, Meter Gain should be ignored.
