Signature Ability 1
Inflict DEATH MARK for 10/12/15 seconds and gain ENRAGE when HITTING a DASHING opponent. A stack of ENRAGE is removed after each BLOCKED HIT.
Signature Ability 2
With at least 5/4/3 stacks of ENRAGE, BLOCKBUSTERS become UNBLOCKABLE.

Role & Strategy[]

  • Risky Ginger is an offensive variant with a Signature Ability that increases her damage output through stacks of timeless ENRAGE and unblockable blockbusters. The condition to her Signature Ability enforces the player to intercept (hitting a dashing opponent) instead of simply blocking. Hence, there is a level of skill required to use her effectively but in her full potential, Risky Ginger can deal significant amount of (unblockable!) damage to the toughest of defenders.
  • Careful enemy selection may come in handy when playing Risky Ginger as some characters are easier to intercept than others. Using her against opponents with a very quick dash such as Beowulf and Painwheel can make triggering her Signature Ability difficult.
    • Using projectiles such as NAPALM SHOT on a dashing opponent will also trigger her Signature ABility. However, NAPALM SHOT will not work on opponents with a low frame when dashing, such as Ms. Fortune.
  • Marquee Ability: For the recommended Marquee Ability, it ultimately depends on the stats of your moves. If your moves have a high Crit Rate, CRITICAL MASS is preferred to deal significantly more damage as more TEARS are spawned. If not, CRITICAL THINKING can suffice but will ultimately deal significantly less damage, unless there is some investment in Crit Damage.
  • Stat Investment: Risky Ginger will benefit from investment in ATK and Piercing to increase her maximum damage output. Depending on the Marquee Ability that is chosen, Risky Ginger will also benefit from investment in Crit Rate (for CRITICAL MASS) and Crit Damage (for CRITICAL THINKING).
