Rainbow Blight is a Neutral, Gold Double variant.
Tips and Tricks[]
Role & Strategy[]
- Rainbow Blight is an offensive fighter with a Signature Ability that makes use of Double's Transmutation to inflict DEBUFFS and gain BUFFS depending on the corresponding element.
- The BUFFS that Rainbow Blight gets are powerful BUFFS that increases her damage output (ENRAGE and HASTE) while making her immune to any crippling DEBUFFS (IMMUNITY, HEAVY REGEN, ARMOR). On the other hand, the DEBUFFS that Rainbow Blight inflicts are powerful DEBUFFS that can cripple the strongest defenders in the game.
- HEX is particularly noteworthy as it completely disables the opponent's Signature Ability, allowing her to face against defenders with powerful abilities such as Dread Locks, Resonant Evil, and Immoral Fiber.
Element | Buff Gained | Debuff Inflicted |
Air | Heavy Regen | Disable Blockbusters |
Fire | 2 Stacks of Enrage | 1 Stack of Bleed |
Water | 2 Stacks of Armor | Cripple |
Dark | Haste | Heal Block |
Light | Immunity | Hex |
- A lot of these BUFFS and DEBUFFS do not stack and do not reset upon transmuting to the same element before they expire. Hence, this makes Rainbow Blight a fairly RNG-dependent fighter since getting what you need when you need it in a pinch is down to chance, but the pros can outweigh the cons.
- Marquee Ability: CHAOS is the recommended Marquee Ability for Rainbow Blight as inflicting tons of DEBUFFS through CHAOS can severely cripple even the toughest of defenders. Since it may take a few transmutations to get into an Elemental Advantage for CHAOS, Rainbow Blight's Signature Ability allows her to reap some benefits when transmuting into the wrong element. In particular, the BUFFS that she gain can increase her survivability in the fight which overcomes Double's low base health that renders her vulnerable to chip damage from blocking.
- Stat Investment: As with any other offensive Double, investing in ATK, Piercing, Crit Rate and Meter Gain are very important to increase her offensive prowess and to trigger CHAOS as often as possible to wear the opponent down.
