Tips and Tricks[]
Role & Strategy[]
- Phantom Wrangler is an offensive fighter with the ability to inflict SLIME from Marie's SKELETAL SUMMONS. Once the opponent is inflicted with SLIME, every blockbuster use will inflict QUIETUS, a powerful DEBUFF that ignores the opponent's RESISTANCE and bypasses FINAL STAND and BLESSINGS. This allows Phantom Wrangler to consistently inflict more stacks of SLIME against BUFF heavy defenders in the game.
- For a fun combo, she can be paired with fighters like Parasite Weave and Freaky Friday to take use of their Crit Rate and BLEED to counter Dahlia variants with NO TIME TO Marquee Ability.
- She can also be paired with Beast King to easily get a lot of debuffs and increase his damage.
- Phantom Wrangler is a consistent dealer of QUIETUS, since both HILGARD'S HAYMAKER and HILGARD'S HOWL are moves that can reliably inflict the DEBUFF while also being SKELETAL SUMMONS that would benefit from Phantom Wrangler's first Signature Ability. When the opponent is inflicted with QUIETUS, more SLIME stacks can be inflicted reliably since RESISTANCE will now be ignored.
- With consistent application of QUIETUS, CARPAL PUMMEL is a recommended blockbuster to equip since it is also a SKELETAL SUMMON that benefits from the extra damage boost, while having the chance to be unblockable and inflict STUN.
- Marquee Ability: The recommended Marquee Ability for Phantom Wrangler is IMPROVED INCINERATION to increase her damage output through a timeless stack of ENRAGE and extra blockbuster meter.
Stat Investment[]
- General Investment: As an offensive Marie, Phantom Wrangler is best built with Attack, Piercing, Meter Gain and Special Cooldown.
- Special investment: Investing in Accuracy will ensure that her DEBUFFS aren't resisted by the opponent.
Trivia[]
- This variant is a reference to Beatrix LeBeau, the main character to Slime Rancher. This variant's ability to inflict SLIME is also a direct nod to the game's main gameplay in collecting, raising and feeding Slimes.
