Tips and Tricks[]
Role & Strategy[]
- Ogre Achiever is an offensive fighter with the ability to deny an opponent's BUFFS to gain IMMUNITY for himself, preventing DEBUFFS. Furthermore, each use of blockbusters during HYPE MODE grants permanent ENRAGE and health, providing increased damage output and sustain for the fight. Altogether, this combination of abilities allow Ogre Achiever to be a solid offensive variant against BUFF heavy defenders that won't be easy to punish.
- BUFF removal also affects permanent BUFFS, as Ogre Achiever removes those BUFFS at the moment they are gained.
- Aside from Weekend Warrior, Ogre Achiever is the only other Beowulf variant with access to IMMUNITY, making him immune to DEBUFFS that can disrupt the player's strategy such as CURSE, HEX or DISABLE BLOCKBUSTERS. Furthermore, the ability to prevent permanent BUFFS allows Ogre Achiever to be a counter to variants like Model Leader and Megalomaniac.
- Beowulf has access to HASTE from moves such as AROO READY? to quickly charge blockbusters for every hit, allowing Ogre Achiever to spam blockbusters quickly and gain stacks of permanent ENRAGE. With access to a lot of command grabs like LUPINE PUMMEL and WULF SHOOT, it will be easy for Ogre Achiever to be aggressive and take advantage of the increased damage to defeat opponents without risk of getting knocked down.
- Marquee Ability: DEFENDING CHAMP is the recommended Marquee Ability and will help keep Ogre Achiever on the upper hand as he deals damage.
Stat Investment[]
- General Investment: As an offensive Beowulf, Ogre Achiever is best built with Attack, Piercing and Special Cooldown.
- Special investment: Accuracy is the most important stat to build on Ogre Achiever, as this gives him a 75% chance to deny opponents buffs at 50% Accuracy. Meter Gain is also a recommended stat to build on him, but it can be ignored if used with a taunt.
Trivia[]
- This variant's color palette is a reference to Shrek from the 2001 film and subsequent film series of the same name, with its caption referencing a direct quote from the character.
- A more obscure reference is that Shrek preforms various wrestling maneuvers during a fight scene in the film, even using a chair, just like Beowulf.
- This variant has unique visual effect in combat. In this case, entering HYPE MODE will cause tomatoes and pistachios to be thrown into the arena.
