- Heart of Darkness is an offensive fighter with a unique Signature Ability that allows her to copy and prevent the opponent's own Signature Ability by inflicting HEX.
- Although powerful, this ability does very little to neutral element fighters and fighters that rely on their Character's Ability as conditions such as Tear-based abilities of Parasoul, Sekhmet-based abilities of Eliza, Wyrm Charge-based abilities of Squigly and Hype Mode-based abilities of Beowulf.
- As one of the few fighters that can inflict HEX, Heart of Darkness can easily take down the toughest of defenders by preventing their Signature Ability for thirty seconds which is significantly long.
- Heart of Darkness' second Signature Ability is best seen as a bonus. Three stacks of MIASMA provide ample recovery and meter drain when close to the opponent and three stacks of random DEBUFFS can be very useful if it rolls into potent DEBUFFS such as CURSE, HEX and DEATH MARK.
- Marquee Ability: CHAOS is the recommended Marquee Ability for Heart of Darkness as inflicting tons of DEBUFFS through CHAOS can severely cripple even the toughest of defenders. Not to mention, CHAOS synergizes well with Heart of Darkness' second Signature Ability by allowing all DEBUFFS that have been inflicted to transfer to the next opponent by using a single OUTTAKE.
- Stat Investment: As with any other offensive Double, investing in ATK, Piercing, Crit Rate and Meter Gain are very important to increase her offensive prowess and to trigger CHAOS as often as possible to wear the opponent down.
Trivia[]
- This variant is a reference to the Skull Heart, the mysterious artifact that was created by the Divine Trinity to destroy the world by creating Skullgirls. Its caption is a reference to the fact that no woman has ever wished upon the Skull Heart without becoming a Skullgirl as wishes are selfish by nature.
