Tips and Tricks[]
Role & Strategy[]
- Death Wish is a fighter with the ability to steal BUFFS and inflict HEX on the opponent every seven combo hits, providing Death Wish with a great amount of easily achievable utility. Additionally, her second ability revives her entire team on fatal hit, making her a strong variant with both offensive and defensive use.
- HEX is a very powerful DEBUFF, disabling the use of Signature Abilities. The ability to steal BUFFS and inflict HEX simply through combo hits makes Death Wish the most consistent BUFF control and HEX user on offense. Furthermore, her ability also works while getting combo'd herself, making it hard for players to use their own Signature Abilities and BUFFS against her while on defense.
- BUFF stealing and HEX together is a very powerful combination, as it notably makes IMMUNITY useless against her as she can steal it for herself before inflicting HEX.
- Death Wish's second Signature Ability acts as a safety net for the entire team. It allows Death Wish to regain her health along with her dead teammates. This is very useful especially in defense where she can be put in the third spot and use her ability once her teammates are already defeated, similar to Kill Joy.
- While her abilities can be triggered easily, there are still ways to bypass it. For one, characters that deal a lot of damage in a few hits will be able to lower Death Wish's health substantially without triggering the HEX and CURSE, and PRECISION can bypass both of her abilities. Finally, variants/characters with access to revive nullification in some way make Death Wish's revive ability less powerful. Good counters to Death Wish include Windswept, Dragon Brawler and Biting Cold.
- Additionally, when she is not in the first spot of the team, characters can use OUTTAKE to bring her into the field with her living teammates on bench to lower the effectiveness of her second Signature Ability.
- Marquee Ability: Death Wish will benefit from either Marquee Ability depending on her use. On offense, SWEET VICTORY will further bolster her damage output by granting ENRAGE stacks upon the death of her opponent, allowing her to snowball damage against incoming fighters. On defense, BITTER END will provide further sustain and FINAL STAND, delaying fights.
Stat Investment[]
- General Investment: On Offense, Death Wish is best built with Attack, Piercing, Meter Gain and Special Cooldown. On defense, she is best built with HP, Resistance, Meter Gain and Defense.
- Special investment: Accuracy will ensure that her HEX is not resisted by enemies.
Playing Against[]
- Death Wish on defense is weak to HEX, PRECISION hits and low hit count characters:
- Red Velvet is a strong consistent HEX user who can disable her Signature Abilities
- Parasoul is a highly damaging yet low hit count character with easy access to PRECISION via EGRET CALL
- Characters such as Cerebella and Beowulf can loop their grab specials MERRY GO-RILLA and WULF SHOOT, dealing high damage in single hits
- Strategies that don't need Signature Abilities or BUFFS to work will prevent Death Wish from disrupting them with her first Signature Ability
Trivia[]

- This variant represents an alternate timeline where Umbrella gives in to the Skullgirl blood running through her veins and embraces her darker impulses. The Skull Heart floats behind her at all times during gameplay. The Signature Ability references features of being a Skullgirl:
- 7th COMBO HIT as a reference to the Skull Heart appearing every seven years.
- REVIVES as a reference to the Skullgirl being able to control the dead.
- This variant's caption is part of a direct quote from Umbrella's Skullgirl voice pack in Skullgirls 2nd Encore+.
- This variant was leaked in the Fighter Catalogue when patch 5.1 was released. She was still under development during this time.
