Tips and Tricks[]
Role & Strategy[]
- Biting Cold is a defensive fighter that gains numerous benefits while near a dead body or defeating an opponent. The ability to gain BARRIER and THORNS just by standing near a dead body is a very powerful and dangerous defensive ability. On the other hand, the ability to gain stacks of REGEN and meter after a successful revenge kill allows Biting Cold to survive longer in a fight and continually be a threat. Importantly, disabling the ability to revive defeated opponents prevent players from using Valentine's Forbidden Procedure blockbuster and punishes players that rely on it.
- Biting Cold can be used offensively, as she directly counters some of the toughest revival-based defenders, such as Kill Joy. Plot Twisted, Last Hope, Dead of Winter, Grim Fan and Death Wish. While she doesn't have any offensive abilities on her own, players can make use of Painwheel's wide arsenal of moves that can inflict DEBUFFS such as ARMOR BREAK, BLEED and DEATHMARK and gain BUFFS such as ENRAGE to make up for it. However, it is recommended to pair her with a dedicated offensive variant to easily whittle the enemy's health down low and then TAG IN Biting Cold to deal the finishing blow.
- Marquee Ability: TAINTED BLOOD is the recommended Marquee Ability for Biting Cold.
Stat Investment[]
- General Investment: As a defensive Painwheel, Biting Cold is best built with HP, Defense, Meter Gain and Resistance. If used on offense, Biting Cold is best built with Attack, Piercing, Meter Gain and Special Cooldown.
- Special investment: Crit Rate and Crit Damage will increase her damage output on offense.
Trivia[]
- Biting Cold's palette is based on an Indiegogo backer's fan character called Nemo.
